This term is not uncommon to any of us. The subject introduces the student to the world of weaves, fibers, textiles, embroidery; block printing, tie & dye, garment construction and so on. To get hands on experience of this industry, the student has to first learn to be a 'tailor' i.e. he is provided with the knowledge of basic cuts and drapes with endless variations. Further on comes the knowledge of his tool - the sewing machine. The students are assigned fashion design related project and finally presenting the work to the jury. Along with the actual display, the student is also required to make the presentation in the form of a portfolio.

Semester 1 and Semester 2
DESIGN FOUNDATION

Semester 3 to 7
Students are assigned on fashion design related projects. Similar to graphic design, the students are trained to inculcate a thought process by means of assigning relevant projects and completing it with required guidance of the faculty and discussions with fellow students.

Semester 8
FINAL PROJECT & Portfolio Presentation: Independent live projects are taken up by the students which helps them in understanding the fashion world putting their best foot forward and hence allowing them to be the best in the industry.
